Elton Motello
Elton Motello are an English new wave band who are most notorious for their song, "Jet Boy, Jet Girl", which was actually written by Belgian band, Plastic Bertrand. Although Motello used Bertrand's original backing track, their version isn't a straight up cover; during translation from the original French to English, they changed the words to more raunchy, homosexual ones. It's great - really funny - and Motello's version was consequently covered by punk bands such as The Damned and Chron Gen.
"Jet Boy, Jet Girl" aside, Elton Motello released 2 albums (Victim of Time and Pop Art). AMC released a comp with the best songs from these albums.
